Addiction of Food
By editor | July 16, 2007
Addiction of food is a disease which is generally seen in the teenagers as well as older people. There are people who eat much and this habit begins in the initial adolescent age and they keep eating food like bullies. Again such kids move out of control and they keep eating even when they realize that their bellies are totally full. They eat more than required and again the speed of eating is greater than the actual humans and is perhaps noticed when such kids sit amongst the crowd. This behavior of theirs brings a feeling of
guilt in the parents and when scolded the kids are on the verge of spoiling the relations with their families. They don’t agree when they are asked to take up compulsive fasting and they keep eating even when not hungry.
Their obesity leads them to different physical problems in long run and hence care should be taken that they should be stopped and given treatment at an early stage so that the thing does no become uncontrollable at later stages in life. If it is left untreated then it leads to physical disorders in some time. This is indeed a psychological disease rather than physical and has a great amount of emotional element associated with it. At times this disease is seen in patients who have been suffering from depression since some time. At times they feel ashamed of themselves too when they put on additional weight.
